అందరికి నమస్కారం .

ముఖ్యంగా ఏమీ తెలియకపోయినా అన్నీ తెలిసినట్లు డిబేట్ చేసే మేధావులకు రెండు నమస్కారాలు. సైనికుడికి బులెట్ ప్రూఫ్ జాకెట్ ఎలాగో,వైద్యుడికి మాస్క్ లు ,గ్లోవ్స్ తదితర రక్షణ వస్త్రాలు అలాంటివి .

కొంతమంది మీడియా ప్రతినిధులు.. రాజకీయ నాయకులు..మరియు కొందరు అధికారులు..కేవలం, కరోనా వైరస్ పేషెంట్లను చూసే డాక్టర్లకే N95 మాస్కులు, PPE కిట్లు కావాలనే తప్పు అభిప్రాయలో ఉన్నారు..

రాష్ట్రంలో 5 కోట్ల మంది ఉన్నారు. పరీక్షలు 5 వేల మందికి మాత్రమే చేశారు.మిగిలిన వారిలో ఎవరికైనా

కరోనా పాజిటివ్ ఉండి ఉండవచ్చు..టెస్ట్ చేయకుండా, కేవలం మోహం చూసి, వారికి కరోనా ఉందో లేదో ఎవ్వరూ చెప్పలేరు.

కరోనా పాజిటివ్ ఉన్నవారిలో 80% మందికి పెద్ద ఇబ్బందులేమీఉండకపోవచ్చు..కానీ‌, వారు ఒక నెలరోజుల పాటు జబ్బును ఇతరులకు వ్యాప్తి చేయగలరు.వారి నుండి ఇన్ఫెక్షన్ వచ్చిన వారికి, జబ్బు తీవ్రంగా వచ్చి ప్రాణహానికలుగవచ్చు..

కనుక..హాస్పిటల్ కు వచ్చిన ప్రతి పేషెంటును వెద్య సిబ్బందికరోనా పాజిటివ్ పేషెంటు గానే భావించాలి .. ప్రతి పేషెంటుకు సేవ చేసేటప్పుడు అన్ని జాగ్రత్తలు తీసుకోవాలి. ఒక పేషెంటు నుండి పొరపాటున ఒక వైద్య సిబ్బందికి కరోనా ఇన్ఫెక్షన్ వచ్చిందంటే, ఆ సిబ్బంది నుండి వారు తరువాత సేవ చూసే ప్రతీ పేషెంటుకు ఇన్ఫెక్షన్ వ్యాప్తి చెందుతుంది. కనుక, కరోనా సమాజంలో ప్రబలకుండా ఉండాలంటే, ఆ ఇన్ఫెక్షన్ వైద్య సిబ్బందికి రాకుండా చూసుకోవడం చాలా ముఖ్యం.హాస్పిటల్సే ఈ జబ్బుకు  అతి పెద్ద Hot Spots.

ముఖ్యంగా,పేషెంట్ల నోటికి దగ్గరగా ఉండే,ట్యూబ్ వేసే మత్తు డాక్టర్లకు..గొంతు(ENT), గాస్ట్రోస్కోపి,దంత, ఊపిరితిత్తుల, పిల్లల,జ్వరాల డాక్టర్లకు..పేషెంట్ల నుండి ఈ జబ్బు సంక్రమించే రిస్క్ చాలా ఎక్కువగా ఉంటుంది.

రెండు రోజులుగా టివి డిబేటులు చూస్తున్నాము..కొంతమంది మీడియా వారు..రాజకీయ నాయకులు.. ఆ నర్సిపట్నం మత్తు డాక్టరుకు N95 మాస్క్ ఎందుకు..ఆయన కరోనా పేషెంట్లను చూడటంలేదు కదా..అని అంటున్నారు..

ప్రతి హాస్పిటల్ లో పని చేసే ప్రతి వైద్య సిబ్బందికి..కరోనా వచ్చే రిస్కు చాలాఎక్కువగా ఉంటుందనే విషయం మరచిపోకూడదు. 

ఇంకో రాజకీయ మేధావి.పారిశుద్ధ్య కార్మికులు..అధికారులు PPE లేకుండాపని చేస్తున్నారు కదా..డాక్టర్లు అవి లేకుండా ఎందుకు పనిచేయరు అని అవగాహన లేకుండా మాట్లాడుతున్నారు.డాక్టర్లు పేషెంటుకి చాలా దగ్గరగా  గన్ పాయింట్లో పని చేయాల్సి ఉంటుంది.అధికారులు, పారిశుద్ధ్య కార్మికులు ప్రజలకు కొంచెం దూరంగా ఉండి కూడా వారి పని చేసుకొనే వీలుంది.వైద్య సిబ్బందికి అలా సాద్యం కాదు.

అందుకే, ప్రపంచ వ్యాప్తంగా కొన్ని వేలమంది వైద్య సిబ్బంది విధి నిర్వహణలో, కరోనా వచ్చి అమరులయ్యారు.

ఎవరైనా అధికారులకు,పారిశుద్ధ్య కార్మికులకు, MLAలకు కరోనా వచ్చిందా, చెప్పండి? కనుక, దయచేసి 

వైద్య సిబ్బందిని మిగతా సేవలు చేసే వారితో పోల్చకండి. వారిది పని..వీరిది ప్రాణం!

డాక్టర్లు, వైద్య సిబ్బంది నిరంతరం పేషెంట్లకు దగ్గరగా ఉండి వైద్యం చేయాలి..ఇలా నిరంతరం కాంటాక్ట్

లో ఉండటం వల్ల వీరికి హై డోసు ఇన్ఫెక్షన్ వచ్చి, తీవ్ర జబ్బు వస్తుంది. ఎక్కువ ప్రాణాపాయం ఉంటుంది..

వైద్య సిబ్బంది ఎవరైనా ఒక్కసారి కరోనా డ్యూటిలోకి దిగారంటే.., అక్కడే తినాలి.అక్కడే ఉండాలి.నిరంతరం వైరస్ కు Expose అవుతూనే ఉండాలి. సరైన PPE లేకుండా హాస్పిటల్ కు వెళ్ళడం అంటే,మృత్యువుకు ఎదురెళ్లడమే..

కొన్ని రోజులు కుటుంబానికి దూరంగా డ్యూటీ చేసిన తరువాత కూడా ఇంటికి వెళడానికి వీలులేదు. ఒక రెండు వారాలు క్వారంటైన్ లో ఉండి..కరోనా టెస్టు నెగటివ్ వస్తే, అప్పుడు మాత్రమే మరలా కుటుంబం దగ్గరకు వెళ్లగలుగుతారు. ఈలోపు వైద్య సిబ్బంది కుటుంబ బాగోగులు చూసి పెట్టేదెవరు.

యుద్దానికి వెళ్లే జవాను లాగా అన్నమాట..తిరిగొస్తామన్నా గ్యారెంటీ లేదు.. ఒకవేళ పేషెంట్ల నుండి వైద్య సిబ్బందికి పాజిటివ్ వస్తే, హై డోసు ఇన్ఫెక్షన్ రావటం వల్ల వారి ప్రాణాలైనా పోవచ్చు. అదృష్టం బాగుండి

బతికినా, మరలా ఇంకో నాలుగు వారాలు కుటుంబానికి దూరంగా క్వారంటైన్ లోనే ఉండాలి.

ఇవన్నీ చేస్తూనే, ఈ డాక్టర్ గారు ఆయన సొంత క్లీనిక్ లో రెగ్యులర్ గా పని చేసే స్టాఫ్ కు లక్షల జీతాలు, హాస్పిటల్ కరెంటు, మిగతా బిల్లులు అన్నీ ఆయనే చూసుకోవాలి..ఇవన్నీ ప్రభుత్వం ఏమీ చూడదు..పొరపాటున వైద్య సిబ్బంది ఎవరన్నా చనిపోతే, వారి కుటుంబం రోడ్డున పడుతుంది.

అయినా..డాక్టర్లు, వైద్య సిబ్బంది డ్యూటీ చేయడానికి సిద్దంగానే ఉన్నారు..వైద్య సిబ్బంది కేవలం డిల్లీలో

కేజ్రీవాల్ గారు కల్పించినట్టు ఇక్కడ కూడా సదుపాయాలు కల్పించాలని మాత్రమే కోరుతున్నారు..

అవసరమైనన్ని క్వాలిటీ(WHO Standard) రక్షణ కిట్లు (PPE) - Most Important..ఇవి లేకుండా, డ్యూటీ చేయడం అంటే పులి నోట్లో తలపెట్టడమే!

• సరైన వసతి సదుపాయం.
• ఒకవేళ, విధినిర్వహణలో కరోనా జబ్బు బారిన పడితే, ఆ వైద్య సిబ్బందికి ప్రభుత్వ ఖర్చులతో మెరుగైన వైద్య సహాయం చేయించాలి.
• ఒకవేళ, కరోనా పై పోరులో వైద్య సిబ్బంది, నర్సులు, వార్డు బాయ్స్ ఎవరైనా అమరులయితే, వారి కుటుంబాలను డిల్లీ తరహాలో వెంటనే ఆర్థికంగా ఆదుకోవాలి.(సంవత్సరాల తరబడి వారి కుటుంబసభ్యులు ఆఫీసుల చుట్టూ తిరిగే పని లేకుండా)

• డ్యూటీలోకి తీసుకునే ముందు,ప్రతి ప్రేవేటు వైద్య సిబ్బందికీ ప్రభుత్వం పై వసతులు కల్పిస్తామని రాతపూర్వక హామీ ఇవ్వాలి.అవేమీ చేయకుండా.. వాటి గురించి ఏమీ మాట్లాడకుండా..ఎస్మా ప్రయోగిస్తాం ! లైసెన్సు రద్దు చేస్తాం !హాస్పిటల్ సీజ్ చేస్తాం !అని బెదిరించడం గర్హనీయం!

మన ప్రభుత్వం, అధికారులు కూడా, తోటి రాష్ట్రాల వారి లాగా విజ్ఞతతో వ్యవహరించీ.. వైద్య సిబ్బందికి సరైన భరోసా,రక్షణ కల్పించి..ప్రజలకు మెరుగైన సేవలు అందించే వాతావరణం మన రాష్ట్రంలో కూడా కల్పిస్తారని ఆశిస్తూ

Toaster-sized ventilator from India helps hospitals in coronavirus fight

The makers say the AgVa - which weighs just 3.5 kilos (7.7 pounds) - will help move less critical patients back to their homes as their machine is easy to transport and install, and needs low power.

"In case you want to convert a hotel into an ICU, you can simply put this device and start working as it doesn't require other infrastructure," said Vaish.

Maruti Suzuki, India's biggest passenger car maker, has pledged to help AgVa ramp up production after the government called on all auto firms to contribute to the anti-coronavirus effort.

Seeing people queue for life-support equipment at the All India Institute for Medical Science in Delhi in 2016 convinced Vaish and Agrawal that there was an acute need for a cheap and portable ventilator.

Global pharma giant Abbott, which on Friday announced it has received US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approval for a portable device that can tell if someone is COVID-19 positive in five minutes, said it plans to “bring more tests forward with the intent to get them to more people in more places around the world”.

To a question on whether Abbott planned to bring the test to India, a company spokesperson told The Indian Express, “We are developing COVID-19 tests across our Abbott testing platforms (including laboratory and lateral flow tests) and plan to bring more tests forward with the intent to get them to more people in more places around the world. We are working to produce as many tests as possible, running our production 24/7 and will expand manufacturing capacity when we can.”

Currently, the ID NOW COVID-19 test is available only in the United States as this is where most of the company’s ID NOW instruments are in use, the Abbott spokesperson said. This platform, introduced in 2014, is currently being used for testing for Influenza A and B in American labs.The test will deliver positive results for COVID-19 in approximately five minutes, and negative results in 13 minutes.

It is small, lightweight (6.6 lbs) and portable (the size of a small toaster) — and uses a unique isothermal nucleic acid amplification technology, which provides molecular results in minutes.

The device, which Abbott claims is the “fastest available molecular point-of-care test” for the detection of COVID-19, is its second test to receive emergency use authorization by the FDA. Last week, the company launched the m2000 RealTime SARS-CoV-2 EUA test which identifies the virus by targeting small amounts and amplifying it until there’s enough for detection. Between the two platforms, Abbott expects to produce about 5 million tests per month.

Very fast and definitive

The Abbott device will produce a diagnosis in just over five minutes; the conventional RTPCR test kits currently in use across the world take almost a day to provide results. Crucially, Abbott’s ID NOW COVID-19 test gives results fast like the antibodies test kits — however, while a negative result does not rule out infection, Abbott’s kits, which use RNA amplification technology, give definitive results.

In the US, Abbott will make the ID NOW COVID-19 tests available next week to healthcare providers — where the ID platform instruments are already in use. In a statement, the company said that it “expects to ramp up manufacturing to deliver 50,000 tests per day”.
